Welcome to GaitWay Stables
Horse First Horsemanship
More than Riding Lessons –
More than Moving up the Levels –
More than Competition
At GaitWay Stables we believe that exceptional horsemanship begins with understanding the horse.
OUR COMMUNITY IS BUILT ON A SIMPLE BELIEF: Good intentions alone are not enough. Positive results comes from knowledge, consistency, patience, and accountability.
Grounded in the principles of classical dressage and thoughtfully expressed through eventing, we teach riders to develop balance, alignment, harmony, and feel before pursuing performance.
Every lesson, every ride, and every interaction is guided by one goal:
To improve the lives of horses while helping people become more thoughtful, capable, and compassionate horsemen.
Our Philosophy
Positive intention is where every great partnership begins.
But intention alone doesn’t create change.
Through empathy, curiosity, accountability, and consistent effort, positive intentions become positive results.
Positive results build trust.
Trust builds lasting partnerships between horses and humans.
That is the work we do every day.
What We Do
Education Comes First
Our instructors are more than riding coaches.
We’re educators committed to helping riders understand not just how to ride, but why horses respond the way they do.
By combining classical dressage principles with thoughtful horsemanship, we help every rider build confidence, independence, and a lifelong appreciation for the horse.

“We love everything about GaitWay”
They recently moved to a stunning location in Hillsborough with beautiful barns, pasture, and a covered arena. The mix of riders is a warm and supportive community. We are so happy with Amy’s training — she focuses on the health and safety of the rider and the horse. She is always working to learn and grow and helps her riders do the same.”
